OneDrive Setup

Configure your OneDrive account to work with MV Tools for seamless file management, transfer, sync, and backup capabilities.

Setup Instructions

1 Register OneDrive Account

Go to https://onedrive.live.com and sign up for a OneDrive account if you don't already have one.

2 Create Application in Azure Portal

Visit https://portal.azure.com/#blade/Microsoft_AAD_RegisteredApps/ApplicationsListBlade and sign in with your Microsoft account credentials. Create a new application registration.

3 Configure Callback URL

In the application settings, add http://localhost:8080/api/drive/callback as a redirect URI.

4 Create Client Secret

In the application registration, navigate to the Certificates & secrets section and create a new client secret. Make sure to copy the secret value immediately as it will not be displayed again.

5 Obtain Client ID and Client Secret

From the application registration overview, copy the Client ID. Also, use the client secret you created in the previous step. Enter these values into the MV Tools software when prompted for OneDrive drive configuration.

Alternative: Use System App

If you find the above steps too complicated, you can use the "Use System App" feature within MV Tools. This option uses a pre-configured system application, which is easier to set up but may have more usage limitations since it's shared among multiple users.
