Box Setup
Configure your Box account to work with MV Tools for seamless file management, transfer, sync, and backup capabilities.
Setup Instructions
1 Register Box Account
Go to https://www.box.com/ and sign up for a Box account if you don't already have one.
2 Register Developer Account
Visit https://app.box.com/developers/console and sign in with your Box account credentials to access the developer console.
3 Create Application
In the developer console, click on "Create New App" or similar option to create a new Box application.
4 Configure Callback URL
In the application settings, set the callback URL to http://localhost:8080/api/drive/callback. This is where Box will redirect after authentication.
5 Set Application Scopes
In the application permissions or scopes section, enable the option to "Write all files and folders stored in Box". This allows MV Tools to perform necessary operations on your files.
6 Obtain Client ID and Secret
After configuring your application, you'll be provided with a Client ID and Client Secret. Copy these values and enter them into the MV Tools software when prompted for Box drive configuration.
Alternative: Use System App
If you find the above steps too complicated, you can use the "Use System App" feature within MV Tools. This option uses a pre-configured system application, which is easier to set up but may have more usage limitations since it's shared among multiple users.
