LocalDrive Setup
LocalDrive allows you to work with local disk drives, including physical drives, network shares, and mapped network drives.
What is LocalDrive?
Local Disk Drive
LocalDrive refers to local disk drives on your computer or network. This includes internal hard drives, external storage devices, and network shares that you have access to.
Supported Path Formats
MV Tools supports various path formats for LocalDrive:
- Local drives: D:\
- Specific folders: C:\Users\mvtools\Desktop
- Network shares: \\192.168.1.15\share
Important Warnings
Permission Issues: Some system directories, such as C:\System Volume Information, are protected by the operating system and cannot be accessed by MV Tools.
Network Paths: Some network shares may have read-only permissions, preventing MV Tools from writing to them. Ensure you have proper write permissions for network locations.
File Deletion: When MV Tools deletes files through LocalDrive, they cannot be recovered from the Recycle Bin. Please exercise caution when performing delete operations.
