Fixed-layout document tool

XPS/OXPS Viewer & Converter

Open XPS and OpenXPS documents online, preview every page, and download PDF, high-resolution PNG, or SVG output.

Open XPS and OXPS Files Online and Convert Them

View fixed-layout Windows documents on any modern device and save them as PDF, PNG, or SVG.

What This Tool Does

Upload a .xps or .oxps document. After validating its package structure, MuPDF renders it inside an isolated conversion environment and creates a PDF, browser previews, and ZIP archives containing each page as PNG or SVG.

Common Use Cases

  • Open an XPS attachment on macOS, Linux, Android, or iPhone
  • Convert reports from legacy Windows applications to PDF
  • Export document pages as images for slides or websites
  • Review archived invoices, forms, and print output without installing an XPS viewer

How Data Is Handled

The file package is checked for unsafe paths, excessive entries, expanded size, and compression ratio. Conversion runs without network access and with strict memory, CPU, time, page, and output limits. Files are deleted after 30 minutes.

FAQ

What is the difference between XPS and OXPS?

XPS is Microsoft’s original fixed-layout format. OXPS is the standardized OpenXPS variant used by newer Windows versions. This tool accepts both.

Can I open XPS on a phone or Mac?

Yes. The generated page previews open in a modern browser, and the PDF works with common document apps.

Why are PNG and SVG downloads ZIP files?

Each document page becomes a separate image, so the files are bundled into one archive.

Will the converted document look identical?

Most fixed-layout content is preserved, but unavailable fonts or unsupported effects can cause small visual differences.
