FAQ
Will this delete photos or free iCloud storage?
Photos stay in iCloud. Exporting does not delete originals or free iCloud storage.
Can I keep Live Photos and original files?
Choose unmodified originals to keep the files supplied by iCloud, including HEIC and original videos. A Live Photo can include both its image and its separate video component. Import behavior varies by the app you use; a ZIP does not recreate Apple Photos albums, edit history, or library structure.
Why does Apple ask me to approve web access?
If Apple blocks access, allow iCloud web access on a trusted device. Advanced Data Protection may require approval on that device. MV Tools cannot bypass these settings.
Is there a size limit or a traffic charge?
Up to 500 items and 20 GB per export. One active export per account. Large exports are split into independent ZIP files; a single large file stays in one ZIP. No MV Tools service traffic is deducted for this tool.
How long can I download my exports?
Exports and their file manifests are removed after 24 hours. Download and check your copies before they expire.
