Private ebook utility
EPUB Reader & Converter
Open and read EPUB ebooks in your browser, inspect book details, extract text, HTML or images, and convert EPUB to PDF.
Choose the EPUB operation deliberately
Reading and extracting an EPUB remain local; converting it to PDF is a separate server-side operation.
- Use local reading and extraction when a PDF is not needed.
- Keep the original EPUB and check chapters, images, and metadata locally.
- For PDF conversion, use a shareable non-DRM copy and review the output.
Local reading and extraction do not upload the book. EPUB-to-PDF uses a temporary, restricted server conversion workflow.
How to Open Legacy Documents, Emails, and EPUB Files Without Losing the OriginalRead EPUB Ebooks Online and Convert EPUB to PDF
Open an EPUB privately in the browser, navigate its chapters, adjust the reading experience, extract content, or create a PDF copy.
What This Tool Does
Choose one .epub file to load it locally in an isolated ebook frame with book scripts disabled. The reader shows the cover, metadata and table of contents. TXT, standalone HTML and original book images are extracted on your device. Only EPUB-to-PDF conversion uploads the file to a restricted server process.
Common Use Cases
- Read an EPUB on a shared or temporary computer without installing an app
- Inspect an ebook cover, author, publisher, language and chapter structure
- Extract ebook text for notes, search or accessibility workflows
- Save book images or create a printable PDF copy
How Data Is Handled
Reading and extraction happen locally in the browser. When you request a PDF, the EPUB is processed by a dedicated account with no network access and strict filesystem, CPU, memory and time limits; uploaded data is deleted after 30 minutes.
FAQ
Is my EPUB uploaded when I read it?
No. Opening, reading, theme changes and extraction run on your device. Upload happens only after you select Convert to PDF.
Are DRM-protected ebooks supported?
No. DRM encryption prevents normal reading and conversion, so protected files are rejected.
Why can the PDF look different?
EPUB is reflowable and adapts to screen and font size, while PDF has fixed pages. Fonts, page breaks and interactive content can therefore differ.
Can EPUB files run scripts?
This reader explicitly disables ebook scripts and displays chapters inside a sandboxed frame.
