Blur, Pixelate, and Cover Sensitive Areas in Photos

Protect faces, license plates, addresses, screenshots, and private details locally before sharing a photo.

What This Tool Does

The browser draws privacy marks into a local canvas and re-encodes the result. Use pixelation, blur, or a solid cover, rotate the image, and export a new file without the original metadata.

Common Use Cases

  • Blur faces and children before sharing event or travel photos
  • Pixelate license plates, badges, addresses, and order numbers
  • Cover private details in screenshots before posting them publicly
  • Remove EXIF and GPS metadata when creating a shareable copy

How Data Is Handled

The original image and edited pixels are processed locally in your browser and are not uploaded to MV Tools. Export creates a new image without the source EXIF, GPS, or other metadata.

FAQ

Are my photos uploaded?

No. The image is decoded, edited, and exported in your browser. MV Tools does not receive the original photo.

Is blur or pixelation enough for highly sensitive information?

For highly sensitive text or identity details, use a solid cover. It permanently replaces the selected pixels in the exported image.

Does the export keep GPS and EXIF metadata?

No. The image is re-encoded as a new PNG, JPG, or WebP file without the original metadata.

Can I undo a privacy mark?

Yes. Use undo and redo while editing, or reset the image to remove all marks and rotation.
